Fencing Ecology Special Issue

This special issue provides a collection of articles in which authors present different perspectives on fences and how we, as humans, use fences to communicate with the natural world and manage wildlife. This collection of fence ecology papers also provides guidelines to improve fence design and implementation, and discusses research steps to move forward in the field. The cover shows a red deer (Cervus elaphus) standing in front of a livestock fence in Doñana National Park, Spain. Photo by Jorge Monje Martín.
